Flu clinic set up at Tura Civil Hospital

TURA, April 15 - In view of the COVID-19 outbreak in the State, a flu clinic has been set up at the Tura Civil Hospital to carry out tests for detection of novel coronavirus cases.

A release issued by the District Magistrate, West Garo Hills, stated that the clinic has been set up for collection of samples, screening and testing.

It further stated that any resident of the district with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath may immediately contact the 24x7 helpline number, 7085496965.

The citizens have also been requested to follow the advisories in order to prevent any possible transmission of COVID-19 in the region.

This collective and voluntary cooperation would help in controlling and breaking the transmission chain of the coronavirus in the region, the release said.
