Flood relief drive

GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - The Guwahati-based employees of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, under IndianOil AOD State Office, conducted a flood relief drive at Diprang village under Borpak Gaon Panchayat of the Jagiroad constituency in Morigaon district on August 20.

During the drive, the employees made voluntary personal contributions, both for providing relief materials such as food items, water, water storage facility, mosquito nets, etc., and also their services in distributing the materials directly to the flood victims. About 100 families directly benefitted through the activity.

�We know that the government machinery is working tirelessly in rescue and relief operations and our employees have decided to lend a helping hand by directly getting involved in the relief activity today, truly demonstrating one of the four core values of Indian Oil Corporation, which is CARE,� Executive Director, IOC, Dipankar Ray said.

Hemen Das, Deputy Commissioner, Morigaon, along with his team, pitched in with all necessary support. Meanwhile, IOC contributed an amount of Rs 50,00,000 financial aid to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund on August 20.
