Five Rohingya refugees held

GUWAHATI, May 14 - Five Rohingya refugees, including a woman, were today apprehended by RPF personnel at Guwahati Railway Station.

Officials said the refugees were coming from Manipur and were held while they were preparing to move to Delhi.

Some smuggled items such as cigarettes, coffee packets, etc., were recovered from their possession.

They were identified as Arofa (24), Md Zuber (21), Kamal Hussain (20), Md Nurul Hakim (19) and Md Kalimulla (19) � all from Rakhine state of Myanmar.

They were handed over to the Government Railway Police Station and a case under Foreigners Act is being registered and investigated.
