DHUBRI, April 24 - In its drive to tackle rising incidents of crimes in the district, the Dhubri police recently nabbed five accused in five different cases, from different parts of the district.
Ahidur Rahman of Kajaikata Part iii village under Bilasipara police station was arrested in connection with a case of sexually assaulting his nine-year-old student. Another person named Sourav Dutta (30) of Sagolia village was arrested in a case registered with Chapar police station.
63-year-old Nudu Roy of Sonakhuli Part II was also arrested by police in a case registered with Golokganj police station.
In connection with a Dhubri police station case, one Nangar Ali of Howrarpar was arrested by police. In another case registered with Dhubri police station, one Shah Alom Bepari of Ward No. 12 of Newghat Dhubri was arrested. Sources in the police informed that drive against different types of crimes would continue in the district.
