Five Nalbari girls hold ranks in Arts, Commerce streams

NALBARI, June 25 - Five students of Nalbari district secured positions among the ten rank holders in the Arts and Commerce streams of HS final examination 2020, result of which was declared today.

While three students of the district secured ranks in the Arts stream, two others got positions in the Commerce stream. In the Arts stream, the students who secured ranks are Malabika Bharadwaj of Ambitious Senior Secondary School, Ghagrapar (5th position), Parinita Bujarbaruah of Assam Valley Junior College, Nalbari (7th) and Mamina Akhtar of Luit Academy Junior College, Dhamdhama (10th).

In the Commerce stream, Trishna Devi of Nalbari Junior College and Priya Jain of Nalbari Commerce College jointly stood eighth among the top ten.

Malabika Bharadwaj of Dakshin Gaon village got the 5th position in the Arts stream with 94.2 per cent marks. She is the daughter of Dhrubajyoti Bhattacharya and Anjali Devi read. She has the ambition of becoming an IAS officer in the future.

Another girl of Nalbari Assam Valley Junior College Parinita Bujarbaruah of Barkhala village stood 7th in the Arts stream. Daughter of Dipak Bujarbaruah and Dipika Bujarbaruah, Parinita secured 469 marks in total. She wants to become a professor in the future.

A girl from Bhelemari village of Dhamdhama area, Mamina Akhtar secured the 10th rank. Daughter of a retired teacher Mazidar Rahman and Monowara Begum, Mamina got 93.2 per cent marks. While talking to reporters, Mamina expressed her desire to become a good teacher in the future. Her success has brought laurels to the remote village.

In the Commerce stream, Trishna Devi from the Nalbari Junior College got the 8th position with 90.06 per cent of marks. She is the daughter of Gautam Sarma and Ira Devi of Malikuchi village. Trishna was to become a Chartered Accountant. Her father is a CISF officer, presently working in Nagaland.

Another girl from the district Priya Jain, also secured the 8th rank from Nalbari Commerce College. She is the younger daughter of Santosh Kumar Jain and Sarmila Devi of Nalbari town. She also has an ambition to become a Chartered Accountant in the future. The success of these students has brought laurels to the district. The Nalbari district unit of AASU today felicitated the toppers by visiting them at their homes and institutions.
