Five COVID-19 patients released in Nalbari district

NALBARI, June 7 - The Nalbari Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital, which has since been declared a COVID-19 hospital, today released five patients who had undergone treatment at the hospital since May 25.

The COVID-19 patients who tested negative during the last couple of days are Binit Kumar of NT Road, Nalbari, Raj Pratim Tamuli of Tamuli Suba, Chinmoy Sarma of Elengidal, Chanideul Ali of Kandhbari near Mukalmua and Jesmin Sultana of Barnibari village in the district.

The MLA of Nalbari LAC Ashok Sarma and Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury formally released the patients by welcoming them with a phulam gamusa each.

The Joint Director of Health Services Dr Umesh Fangsu and Superintendent of Nalbari Civil Hospital Dr Ramesh Chandra Goswami were also present on the occasion.

The programme was conducted by Dr Kameswar Lahkar and Dr Arun Barman.The incharge of the COVID-19 centre Dr Ranjan Bhattacharya said the hospital had 21 positive cases out of which five patients were released today.
