GUWAHATI, Nov 11 - A fire broke out at Bulbul Bazaar in Fancy Bazar area early this morning, gutting goods worth over Rs 1 lakh.
The fire broke out in the second floor of a commercial building following which the fire tenders rushed in.
�Five tenders were pressed into action to douse the fire which might have been caused due to a electrical short circuit,� sources said. No one was injured.
Meanwhile, traders of New Market at Fancy Bazar today resorted to sit-in protest against the government�s alleged failure to keep its promises it had made last year to the affected traders after a devastating fire damaged property worth huge amount of money.
