GUWAHATI, Sept 14 - The United Television Media Association has lodged an FIR against a section of Zubeen Garg �fans� for making insulting comments against a Guwahati-based television journalist after the latter expressed his personal views on the recently released movie Mission China starring Garg, on Facebook.
The FIR was lodged with the Dispur Police Station against one Ajoy Phukan and another individual who identified himself as �Papu Zubeen Boliya� in the social networking site, said Pankaj Sarma, president of the association.
�The FIR was lodged with the Dispur Police Station and the police assured us of looking into the matter. We want the culprits to be booked so that such trolling of journalists or for that matter anyone who expresses his or her view, does not recur,� Sarma said, adding, �Freedom of speech cannot be compromised at any cost.�
The accused even distorted a picture of News 18 journalist Raju Baruah before releasing them in the social networking site and even threatened him of dire consequences.
