FINER delegation meets Patowary

GUWAHATI, May 27 - A high-level delegation of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) had a meeting here today with Chandra Mohan Patowary, Minister for Commerce and Industries, Transport and Parliamentary Affairs.

The delegation, headed by FINER chairman RS Joshi, congratulated Patowary on assuming charge as the Minister for Commerce and Industries, Transport and Parliamentary Affairs, said a statement.

The delegation expressed its confidence that the new government would address the key issues pertaining to the industries and commerce sector of the State so that Assam is able to catch up with the other advanced states of the country.

The delegation apprised the minister of the issues prevalent in the State. It also requested Patowary to convene a meeting at an early convenient date with the members of the trade and commerce bodies of the State to discuss the issues prevalent in the State which needs to be addressed at the earliest.

Patowary gave a patient hearing to the delegation and appreciated the inputs and suggestions submitted by the FINER and ensured full support from his department for the development of the State�s industry and commerce sector.

The FINER delegation also invited the minister for an interactive session with the members of the Federation.
