GUWAHATI, Jan 17 � The new Assamese feature film Sinyor (scream) was released in the State today. The film, produced by Sanjeev Narayan and directed by young filmmaker Kangan Rajkhowa, is based on the story Chayalika Diary by writer Gobind Khaund. The film talks about prostitution. The central character, Priya Kashyap from the Anupam Kher Acting Institute, is a journalist. Daughter of a police officer, Priya joins a news channel and her high ambitions lead her to do unusual stories, one among which is on a prostitute. The assignment forces her into complicated situations among pimps and police before things end up in much suspense.
