Film fest ends at Gauhati varsity

GUWAHATI, May 4 � The 7th Cine ASA Guwahati International Film Festival 2015, which started at the Rabindra Bhawan on April 26, concluded at the Gauhati University campus on May 3.

The Department of Communication and Journalism acted as the campus coordinator in screening some of the world�s best movies in different languages. A total of 29 movies were screened in the festival, out of which 18 were screened at the Rabindra Bhawan and the rest 11 were screened at the Gauhati University campus.

While A Cube of Sugar, a Persian movie directed by Reza Mirkarimi, was the inaugural film, Melancholia, a German/English film directed by Lars Van Trier, was the closing film.

The students of the University and people from the nearby villages watched the movies with much enthusiasm.
