DERGAON, Jan 20 - International award recipient film director Biswajit Bora was accorded warm felicitation at Golaghat recently.
Bora, a resident of Chinatoli, Golaghat, as well as the first student of Evergreen Drama and Film Institute, Golaghat, who became famous for his film based on environment conservation Aisa Yeh Jahaan was felicitated at the institution.
The meeting, chaired by Joyajyoti Gogoi and moderated by Ajoy Bharali, was addressed by noted film director as well as the chancellor of the institution Dinesh Gogoi.
Addressing the gathering, Bora urged the people to save a tree to save a life. He also revealed that he is currently working on producing a film on the education system of NE States and the shooting of which will also be done here.
It is worth mentioning that the director who worked as an assistant of Jahnu Baruah has received several awards for his first carbon neutral cinema. The director has received awards like �International Award of Excellence� at the International Film festival for Environment, Health and Culture at Jakarta, Indonesia, �Silver Award� at the International Independent Film Award in San Francisco etc.
Along with these, the film was also showcased at the 'International Independent Film Awards 2015� in San Francisco 2015, wherein he got the Silver Award 2015 followed by the official finalist and recognition award 2015 at the prestigious �Mexico International Film Festival 2015� in Mexico City.
