GUWAHATI, Aug 2 - Three young players from Assam Chess Club undergoing training at its Akshayam Chess Learning Centre, Guwahati have been awarded International Rating by the World Chess Federation (FIDE).

The players are: Mrinmoy Rajkhowa (1119), Navoneel Choudhury (1025) and Prangovinda Parasar Kashyap (1141). Mrinmoy Rajkhowa has achieved this feat at the age of 5 years and 6 months and thus have become one of the youngest players of Assam to gain International Rating. Both Navoneel and Pran are 8 years old, stated a release.
