GUWAHATI, July 27 - Veteran organiser and arbiter M Arun Singh of Guwahati Chess Association is awarded Fide Arbiter Tittle by the World Chess Federation.
His title application is approved by World Chess Federation in the Second Presidential Board Meeting held at Bucharest Romania on July 9 and 10.
He was awarded Title on the basis of his performances as arbiter in the last 8 International Rating Tournaments he officiated and on the basis of his performances in the Fide Arbiters Seminars he attended in Guwahati last year. After getting this title He is now become eligible to officiate as chief arbiter in any international meet.
