GUWAHATI, Aug 24 - The North East Association of Kickboxing Organisation (NEAKO) will host the Federation Cup Kickboxing Championship at Imphal from October 19 to 22 and the North East Kickboxing Championship at Shillong on December 16 and 17, stated a NEAKO release.

In order to bring awareness among the kickboxers and to develop the game in the Northeastern States the NEAKO has chalked out elaborate schemes in collaboration with the National Kickboxing Federation (NG) WAKO India which has accorded recognition to the NE body.

The organisation is also planning to hold the South Asian Kickboxing Chmpionship here in the month of January next year.

Meanwhile, Biswajit Kakoty, secretary of the Assam Kickboxing Association, has been named as one of the coaches of the Indian team which will participate in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held at Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from September 17 to 27.
