GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - A high-level delegation of officials from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) headed by chairman and managing director DV Prasad and executive director (North East) MK Gogoi met Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb at Agartala recently.
During the meeting, a number of issues, including the supply of food grains by the FCI to meet the requirements of Tripura under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other welfare schemes were discussed. The two sides also spoke about ways to bolster the FCI�s storage footprint in Tripura to further provide impetus to the distribution paradigm in the state. Prasad assured all possible cooperation to the Government of Tripura in fulfilling its mandate under the Public Distribution System.
