GUWAHATI, Aug 14 � Food Corporation of India (FCI) Sports Club played 1-1 draw against fancied ASEB Sports Club while Green Valley Sports Club also played 2-2 draw against SAI Sports Club in two matches of the RG Baruah GSA Super Division Football League played at Neheru Stadium here today.
FCI boys made a flying start scoring in the 11th minute. Captain David March Gayari scored a gem of a goal off a 40-yard set piece. But finally they have to surrender against team work of the experienced ASEB attackers as in the 60th minute substitute Dibiendu Patra fired the equaliser getting the ball from a flag kick. It was tough match for referee Kali Kanta Kinkor who had to caution three players of both the teams.
In the second match captain Bipul Khanikar scored both the goals for SAI in the 6th and 20th minute while for Green Valley Dhananjay Brahma (penalty in the 14th minute) and Md Shabir Ali (61st minute) found the target.
