NAGAON, Dec 11 - A function was held at Swahid Bhawan here on December 10 to observe the Fateha E Dwaz Daham under the auspices of Pragatisheel Mahila Mehfil, Nagaon. The function started with recitation of the Quran by Atifa Akhtara followed by milad and dua conducted by Noorjahan Begum.
Addressing as honourable guest, Prof Archana Talukdar highlighted the life and works of Hazrat Muhammad and compared his teachings with that of Assamese saint Srimanta Sankaradeva. Writer and State award winning teacher Rumu Begum and Saleha Begum also spoke about Hazrat Muhammad. Salma Khanam Laskor presented Nat E Rasul and gazal was presented by Anika Tehsin Habib and Nazrana Begum. Nurunnesa Choudhury, Ira Begum Ruku and others presented zikir at the function.
