BARPETA, April 7 - A poor farmer committed suicide allegedly due to unbearable load of debt which he became incapable in repaying, at Bagariguri Pathar under Sarbhog Police Station on Wednesday.
According to information available, Eyar Ali (35), a resident of Bagariguri Pathar in Kharija Bijni mouza came out of home at around 12 noon that day on the plea of going to the market. But he committed suicide by consuming some pesticide in the field. Two empty bottles of pesticide were found near his body.
