BARAMA, May 17 � Farewell was accorded to Vinod Seshan, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Baksa district on Saturday at a meeting held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner. Seshan who has been transferred to Kamrup (Rural) as the DC was presented an arnai, gamosa, sarai, etc., as a mark of honour in the meeting attended by officials, local social organisations, NGOs and local people.
Addressing the meeting, Seshan expressed his gratitude to the people of Baksa and his colleagues as they contributed a lot for the district�s development. Seshan said during his tenure, infrastructure of the backward district was developed. Not a single incident of violence was committed in the last BTC election, he added.
Top district administration officials lauded the role of the DC who worked hard for the uplift of the district.
