JORHAT, Jan 29 - Outgoing Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Narayan Konwar on Monday relinquished charge and handed over charge to Jorhat Development Commissioner Gitanjali Dutta.
Konwar, who completed his stint of 11 months here, has been transferred by the Government as Additional Secretary in the Health Department. He will also hold additional charge as Commissioner of Labour Department.
Dutta will be In-Charge Deputy Commissioner till Roshini A Korati assumes charge in the next few days. Korati is at present Dhemaji Deputy Commissioner.
Representatives of several organisations including mediapersons on Monday bid farewell to Konwar at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner�s office.
He interacted with the people present on the occasion and thanked them for their support.
