AGARTALA, Oct 17 - AICC general secretary Luizinho Faleiro will arrive here on Friday to prepare a road map for boosting the Congress party against the backdrop of the gloomy state of affairs.
During the day�s visit, Faleiro will hold meetings with PCC leaders and chiefs of the party�s frontal organisations to know their views on how to turn around the party�s fortunes in the newly-saffronised State.
His visit comes close on the heels of resignation of Pradyot Kishore Debbarman as the Tripura PCC president and party member. The royal scion has raised allegations against the former Goa Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, the PCC is preparing to accord a grand welcome to the AICC general secretary. Former PCC president Gopal Roy said Faleiro, accompanied by AICC secretary Bhupen Bora, would arrive here in the morning and spend the whole day in discussing vital issues related to the party and agitation programmes against the BJP-led Government.
Sources said Faleiro would discuss with senior party leaders the issue of appointment of the next PCC president.
