Fake currencies, cattle seized

SHILLONG, Sept 19 - Border Security Force (BSF) personnel seized fake Indian currency notes �valued� at Rs 96,000 and also seized 97 cattle worth more than Rs 55 lakh, loaded in three trucks. The seizures were made separately in the last few days.

A Bangladeshi national and three Indians have been arrested in this connection along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the Meghalaya sector. The fake currencies were being smuggled into India from Bangladesh. One Badal alias Ramjan from Tahirpur, Sunamganj, Bangladesh, was arrested.

In the cattle smuggling case, BSF troops deployed at Sonapur Bridge, East Jaintia Hills district, intercepted the trucks carrying the cattle. The BSF troops apprehended two Indian nationals.
