GUWAHATI, Oct 29 - Fairyland High School edged past Gurunanak School by 14 runs in the summit clash of the City Cricket Coaching Centre organised All Guwahati Inter School Cricket Tournament.
At the Dispur playground today, Fairyland, being asked to bat first, scored 165 for nine in the stipulated 30 overs. In reply Gurunanak were all out for 151 with eight balls to spare. The individual prize winners are: Best fielder-Pankaj Kumar (HKV), best bowler-Himangshu Sarma (Gurunanak), best batsman, player-of-the-final, player-of-the-tournament-Kausar Ali (Fairyland).
Brief scores: Fairyland 165 (Kausar Ali 56, Joy Sinha 27, Dhiraj Mahato 3/4, Sameer Dewra 2/28). Gurunanak 151 (Dynis Hussain 23, Bishnu Sharma 23, Manish rai 23, Joy Sinha 3/25, Kausar Ali 2/31).
