Faculty HS emerge champs

GUWAHATI, Nov 14 - Faculty High School emerged champions in the RGS Little Master�s Under 13 Inter School Cricket Tournament.

In the one-sided final played at the Royal Global School (RGS) premises here today, faculty HS defeated Fairyland School by 80 runs.

Batting first Faculty High School gathered 137 in the stipulated 30 overs. Kaustav Medhi (32 runs off 32 balls), Manish Dutta (32 runs off 41 balls) and Harsh Khemka (22 balls off 37 balls) were the major contributors for Faculty High School.�

For Fairyland Jyotishman Goswami (3/22) Shibam Chetri (3/27) and Shubam Thapa (2/18) were the leading wicket takers.

Chasing the moderate target Fairland School batsmen failed to hit form and were bowled�out for a paltry 57 runs in just 16 overs. Shibam Thapa (19 runs off 21 balls) was the only notable run getter for Fairyland. Manish Dutta wrecked the Fairyland innings with a 4-wicket haul giving away just 6 runs while Veer Agarwal took 3 wicket for 20 runs.

Manish Dutta was picked for the man-of-the-match award. Altogether 9 teams took part in this league-cum-knock out tournament.
