Faculty development prog begins at RGU

GUWAHATI, June 3 - Royal School of Law & Administration (RSLA) in association with Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati, under a scheme of the Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), is organising a week-long faculty development programme (FDP) on statistical analysis, pedagogy and stress management from June 3-8 at the Royal Global University here. Techvictus is supporting the programme, according to a press release.

Prof Ratnajit Bhattacharjee, Department of Electronics & Electrical Engineering, IITG; Pradeep Chetry, CEO of Cynovis Strategy Pvt. Ltd., Assam; Dr Shantanu Chakravarty, Associate Professor of Finance at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata and Prof Praveen Kumar, Department of EEE, IITG are the resource persons.

On the first day, Prof Ratnajit Bhattacharjee spoke on pedagogy, different theories of teaching and learning goals of faculty and students and also how to utilise available technologies for making students perceive concepts better.

Pradeep Chetry spoke on the meaning of �stress� and how to combat it in today�s world. Stress is positive if managed well. He said there are different techniques for managing stress.

Faculties from GIMT, Assam Down Town University, Assam University, Gauhati University, National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam and Royal Global University participated on the first day.
