GOALPARA, Aug 17 - Under the extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, Goalpara district has achieved 100% saturation in 3 key schemes under financial inclusion, stated a DIPRO release.
The schemes under financial inclusion, namely Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jibon Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) against the target of 20,341 covering all the 289 villages, 23,851 accounts were opened under PMJDY, thus achieving 114.86% saturation.
Under PMJJBY, 17,412 persons were covered even though the target was 16,949, thus achieving a saturation of 102.74%, while 102.58% saturation was achieved under PMSBY, covering insurance of 27,818 persons against the target of 27,118 persons. Under Indradhanush, the Department of Health & Family Welfare has achieved 100% saturation too, the release stated.
