IMPHAL, Feb 21 Around a dozen vehicles including those of chairman and secretary of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) were vandalised by a mob after a student was expelled for using unfair means in the ongoing 10+2 examination at Lilong Houreibi College in Thoubal district today.

The incident took place around 12.15 pm after the end of 10+2 examination at the centre. The mob including examinees and locals demanded revocation of the expulsion.

Sources said a group of examinees started pelting stones on the vehicles and later a large number of people intruded into the campus. The mob violence forced the officials to run for cover. Around 343 candidates were appearing for Chemistry and Education papers today, the source added.
