GUWAHATI, March 28 - The Kamrup Metro District Election Authority has identified some �expenditure sensitive pockets� in the four Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) located in the city.

As per the list, Pandu, Maligaon, Adabari, Pilingkata, Jorabat, Bonda, Nine Mile, Thakurkuchi, Sonapur, Fatashil, Khetri, Kamar-kuchi, Fancy Bazar, Borjhar and Pamohi have been identified as expenditure sensitive points in the four constituencies.

Meanwhile, the election district has also made arrangements for sending postal ballots by India Post. A total of 549 postal ballots have been deposited with Post Master of the Guwahati Post Office for sending to various voters in the four constituencies, said a statement.

Photo show on voter awareness: A photo exhibition on voter awareness organised by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) in collaboration with the District Election Office of Kamrup Metro, started at the Satyanath Bora Hall beside Dighalipukhuri here today.

The two-day long exhibition was inaugurated by Dr M Angamuthu, District Election Officer of Kamrup Metro.

Ferries, boats suspended: With a view to preventing any untoward incident in the run-up to the forthcoming Assembly polls and to ensure a free and fair poll process, the Kamrup Metro district administration has temporarily suspended ferry services and plying of all types of mechanised and manual boats in the Brahmaputra river between 6 pm and 4 am.

This comes into force with immediate effect and will continue till further order, said the copy of the order issued by the administration.

In case of any type of emergency, the general public or any organisation are requested to contact the Superintendent of River Police.
