GUWAHATI, Sept 7 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today asked the DGP and State Home Department to expeditiously implement the police modernisation projects in the State.
Reviewing the Assam Police Modernisation Projects at the Janata Bhawan here today, the Chief Minister said that modernising the police force and upgrading the infrastructure will help increase the efficiency of the police forces.
He also asked Anil Kumar Jha, Chairman of the Assam Police Housing Corporation, to complete construction of police stations under the MOITRI scheme expeditiously.
Sonowal also reviewed the progress of under-construction police transit camp in Guwahati, besides modern traffic signal system, construction of Assam Police Academy, e-challan system, police memorial, et al.
