Excise raids conducted in Sivasagar, Nazira

SIVASAGAR, Oct 8 - Routine patrolling and raid was carried out on Monday by an Excise team led by Ashutosh Baruah, Inspector of Excise, Nazira in Santak Tea Estate, Bihubor Tea Estate, Mekipur Tea Estate, Ligiripukhuri Tea Estate, Simaluguri Railway Station backside area, in front of Nazira ONGC Colony Gate, near puja mandaps etc.

Three cases were registered and one person was arrested under 53(1) and (2) of Assam Excise Act 2018. The team seized and destroyed 4.050 litres of IMFL and beer, 2.700 litres of CL, 23 litres of illicit distilled liquor, besides 40 litres of pachowai.
