GUWAHATI, Oct 31 - Reacting to a piece of fake news, the Superintendent of Excise of Kamrup (Metro) district today made it clear that at present the department is not issuing licences for IMFL �off� shops in the city.
In a statement, the Superintendent of Excise stated that a section of people having vested interest is spreading the fake news among public that the department is issuing licences for IMFL �off� shops in the city.
It may be noted that the State Excise has also issued a clarification on the issue.
