JALUKBARI, May 29 - The Kamrup district administration has prohibited illegal mining, excavation of sand and silts from water bodies by any person and illegal blasting of rocks in the entire district of Kamrup.
It has also prohibited transportation of illegally mined sand and silt from other districts to Kamrup district or use of Kamrup district as a transit for transportation of sand and silt to various parts of the State.
The administration has further prohibited movement of trucks and vehicles carrying illegally mined and excavated sand, silt etc., within the district as well as out of the district. The order which came into force with immediate effect, shall remain in force until further orders, stated a press release.
