SILCHAR, June 18 - The Cachar district administration has issued a notice to postpone the examinations in all the schools under both government and private mediums owing to the flood situation across the district.
In a letter issued to the Inspector of Schools, (IS) Cachar district on Sunday, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman of the District Disaster Management Association (DDMA) has asked to postpone the examinations scheduled to start from this week in government and private schools of the district under the jurisdiction of the IS till the situation gets normal.
It may be mentioned that the instruction has been issued in the wake of inundated schools across the district. Residences of students have also been affected by flood.
