GUWAHATI, May 6 - Gautam Sarma, former Secretary of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, has been critically ill and facing great financial hardships.
Sarma, who had made substantial contribution in building up the Kalakshetra as an ideal and robust organisation, needs public empathy and financial help from the Government of Assam.
Stating this, a joint statement by senior journalist DN Chakravartty, former parliamentarian Arun Sharma, actor Pranjal Saikia and social activist Ranajit Sutradhar urged the State government to arrange for Sarma�s proper treatment at the earliest.
