AIZAWL, June 16 - Lalrintluangi, the first woman from Mizoram to scale Mount Everest returned to Aizawl today after she summited the highest mountain in the world on May 21. On landing at Lengpui airport she was given a warm welcome by members of Zotrek Youth Adventure Club, friends and relatives.

A special function was later held at Vanapa Hall by Sports and Youth Services department in the presence of Sports Minister Zodintluanga to honour Lalrintluangi.

The 20 year-old Lalrintluangi is a Class XII student in Govt KM Higher Secondary School in Aizawl and was a member of All India NCC Girls Expedition team.
