Event to commemorate Netaji birth anniversary

GUWAHATI, Jan 21 - The Indian Nationalist Alliance, North East India, is going to organise a discourse on the �Revolutionary pilgrims of India�s Independence� on the occasion of the 121st birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23 at the Convention and Training centre of the Assam PWD Building and NH Division at Dispur Last Gate from 7 pm.

While Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal would be the chief guest of the occasion, the speakers would include Major General GD Bakshi, SM, VSM and author of Netaji - The Indian Samurai, Chandra Kumar Bose, Netaji researcher and social activist, who is also the grand nephew of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Dr Purabi Roy, historian and the author of Search for Netaji �New Findings.

Topics of the discourse include Netaji�s contributions towards Assam and the Northeast, the mysterious circumstances of Netaji�s disappearance, and the various theories associated with it, the classified files currently awaiting declassification by the Government of India, etc.
