Event held to mark NCC Day activities

GUWAHATI, Nov 27 - An exhibition on the functioning and significance of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was organised at the Rabindra Bhawan today.

The event was part of the week-long activities of NCC Day which is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of November every year. The exhibition besides displaying NCC activities conducted in the recent past, was also aimed at guiding and motivating youths to join the NCC and Armed Forces.

Major General Ananta Bhuyan, ADG NCC NER Directorate highlighted the importance of NCC to imbibe discipline and pride for national values in a student. He also spoke about the forthcoming activities for expansion of the NCC in the NE region under the guidance of the Prime Minister.

Today�s event was conducted by NCC Group Headquarters, Guwahati. The exhibition was followed by 5th Chimera 2020, an international mega cultural event for students held under Amrapali Society for Arts.
