GUWAHATI, Dec 12 - The APCC distributed the awards among the winners of the first international essay competition and spot painting competition it held among school and college students on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, at a function held at the Brahmaputra State Guest House here last evening. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi gave away the awards.
According to a press release, the function was attended by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, all India general secretary CP Joshi, APCC president Anjan Dutta and AICC secretary Avinash Pandey, besides the parents and guardians of the participants.
Later, Rahul Gandhi interacted with the students on different topics, the release added.
