DIBRUGARH, Oct 14 - In the run-up to combined events like Asom Divas and 61st State conference of All Assam Ahom Association to be held at the Chowkidinghee ground here from December 2 to 4, the organisers are arranging an essay competition among the students on topics regarding the Ahom kingdom in four categories.
It may be mentioned here that the central Asom Divas of the State Government will be merged with the three-day conference of All Assam Ahom Association at the Chowkidinghee ground on December 2, the organisers stated. Foreign dignitaries, historians, Tai intellectuals and several cultural troupes are expected to attend the twin programmes.
The essay competitions will be organised among students from Class-I to university level. The winners will be presented cash awards, trophy and a bundle of books. Students from Class-I to V have been categorised under Group �A�, Class-VI to VIII under Group �B�, Class-IX to XII under Group �C� and Degree to university level under Group �D� respectively. The students may write on any one topic.
