Ergonomics for female workers discussed

GUWAHATI, Aug 5 - The first activity of the women�s cell of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), Assam branch, was conducted at the Tirthanath Sharma auditorium here today.

The main theme of the event was �Ergonomics for female desk job workers�, which was conducted to create better quality of health among office workers. Dr Kuki Bordoloi and Dr Barnali Bhattacharya spoke on the topic, emphasising on ergonomics required at the work place, health problems among workers due to poor ergonomics and their remedies.

The event was attended by several dignitaries including Dr Mansi Mandal, Academic Registrar, Srimanta Sankardev University of Health Sciences, as the chief guest. She encouraged the female physiotherapists to keep working for societal uplift.

The programme was jointly organised by the State and district coordinators of the IAP � women�s cell, Assam branch. It was attended by many delegates including physiotherapists and students.
