GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - All claims of employers and employees of factories and other establishments covered in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland under provisions of the Employees� Provident Fund & Misc Provisions Act, 1952, and falling under jurisdiction of EPFO, Regional Office, Guwahati, will be entertained only in online mode from January 1 next. No offline claim applications will be accepted thereafter, the Regional PF Commissioner said in a statement.
Employers have been asked to update KYC of their employees with Aadhaar number, bank account and PAN number in the EPFO portal and complete the task by December. EPF subscribers have also been advised to activate their universal account number (UAN) through their registered mobile numbers without delay.
Camps for updation of digital signature and KYC for Assam � excluding districts under jurisdiction of regional office, Tinsukia, will be held from October 21 to November 1 at the EPFO Regional Office in Guwahati.
