GUWAHATI, Aug 4 - The Employees� Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour, Government of India has reminded all the employers of establishments covered under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 that seeding of KYC details of their contributing members (bank accounts, PAN, Aadhar, etc.), filing of return in Form-5A (owner details), procuring and registering digital signature of the authorised signatory of the establishments and obtaining declaration in Form-11 (New) from all the employees joining the establishment in a month have been made mandatory.
�Unfortunately, it has been observed that a number of establishments are still defaulting in complying with the above directives. Bank account details in respect of 1,44,547 contributing members are yet to be seeded and 1,912 establishments have not filed Form-5A. Similarly, 4,572 establishments have not registered any digital signature and 73,409 numbers of Form-11 are pending with employers for declaration,� an official release said.
It added that since the above directives were mandatory in nature, �any employer/establishment failing to comply with the same render themselves liable for action under the provisions of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 and the schemes framed there under.�
