JALUKBARI, June 3 - The Zoological Society of Assam (ZSA) is going to organise World Environment Day on June 5 at Pachim Guwahati Mahavidyalaya, Dharapur.
The daylong programme will include a massive tree plantation drive on the college campus, environment awareness lecture to be delivered by Dr Balendra Kumar Das, president, Assam College Principals� Council (ACPC) and World Environment Day lecture by Adrita Bhattacharyya, a BSc Student of Delhi University.
Meanwhile, the ZSA has lauded Green Oscar awardee Purnima Devi Barman on her outstanding contributions and extraordinary services to the cause of conservation of wildlife in the State.
