GUWAHATI, June 10 - World Environment Day was celebrated at Kalapani Govt LP School, Maligaon, under the aegis of Lifeline, an NGO, on June 8.
The observance witnessed a lot of enthusiasm among the students of the school, which does not even have electricity. The students took part in drawing contests and planted saplings in the school campus.
Lifeline president Reeta Bhuyan said that they had to delay the Environment Day celebrations in view of some unavoidable circumstances. She also delivered a speech on �How to create a pollution-free environment.�
