GUWAHATI, March 2 - Socio-cultural organisation Anuprerona organised a felicitation function at Dispur Press Club on Sunday to honour textile and weaving entrepreneur Baby Bora of Nagaon for her lifelong achievement as an ideal entrepreneur in the her chosen field.
The award, instituted in the memory of Mahbubar Rahman, founder Director of ARTFED and Jagaran and a pioneer in popularising and expanding weaving, was presented to Bora by DN Chakravartty, president of Anuprerona.
The function was attended by senior journalist Naren Hazarika, working president of Anuprerona, Dr Suchitra Kakati, Jahanara Begum, Ajaya Bora, Chandradhar Kalita, Dalimi Deka and Dr Majoj Bidhhya.
Anuprerona, in the last 10 years, has feted nearly 100 persons of eastern India for achieving excellence in education, social service, entrepreneurship, culture, sports and journalism.
