Enthusiastic participation in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, June 21 - Along with rest of the world, the people of the frontier State of Arunachal Pradesh enthusiastically participated in mass demonstration of yoga marking the second episode of the International Day of Yoga.

Leading from the front, Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa, accompanied by Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju took part in the yoga session, conducted at the Indira Gandhi Park here this morning.

In spite of inclement weather, a large number of yoga enthusiasts, including elected representatives, senior citizens, senior government officers, police and para-military forces personnel, civil society members and school students from Capital Complex participated in the celebration of the global yoga event.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, the Governor said for peace, prosperity and a healthy nation, yoga is very important.
