Releasing the English version of Madhabdevas plays, Dr Bora said, Prof Pathaks translation of Madhabdevas plays into English must be appreciated as a monumental work for the people of Assam. People will also find a true picture of the saint in the 72-page introduction to the book.
Chief guest Kanak Sen Deka also appreciated the translatorial effort of Prof Pathak. He said, The people of Assam will get an opportunity to read the plays of Madhabdeva without any difficulty. Besides, translation into other world languages will now be easier.
The meeting was chaired by Surjya Hazarika, vice president of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. He lauded Prof Pathak for his efforts in taking the writings of the saints to the global arena.
