BAIHATA CHARIALI, Oct 26 - Kamalpur MLA Satyabrat Kalita on Tuesday inaugurated the embankment construction work of Puthimari river at Mutkuchi and Gomtha areas under the LAC.
The embankment will be constructed under the scheme of �Immediate Measures to Restore L/B Embankment of the Puthimari under SDRF for the Year 2017-2018�.
Synchronising with the programme, a public meeting was also held where officials of the department concerned attended and explained in detail about the project.
On the other hand, Kalita said the particular project was his prime demand in the interest of the public and the demand is now going to be fulfilled as per the expectations of the people of the entire area.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated another scheme of the same department at Athgaon.
