Electoral rolls for 10 BTR constituencies of Udalguri published

KALAIGAON, March 7 - In view of the ensuing elections in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the Assam State Election Commission published the final electoral rolls of 10 constituencies of Udalguri district, vide notification No. SEC-164/2019/25 on March 5.

The total number of voters in the district is 6,18,168 � of which 3,12,660 are males and 3,05,493 are females.

The five council segments in Bhergaon subdivision are 31 Khwirabari ST with 56,793 voters, 32 Bhergaon ST with 56,770 voters, 33 Nonai Serfang Non-ST with 51,806 voters, 34 Khaling Dwar ST with 63,750 voters, and 35 Mwdaibari Open with 65,163 voters.

The five council segments in Udalguri subdivision are 36 Harisinga ST with 58,288 voters, 37 Dwnsri ST with 70,799 voters, 38 Bhairabkunda ST with 63,880 voters, 39 Pasnoi Serfang General with 61,770 voters, and 40 Rowta ST with 65,167 voters.

It may be mentioned here that 36 Harisinga ST constituency has more female voters than males among all the constituencies.

Deputy Commissioner Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, who is also the District Election Officer of Udalguri, said that the election for five constituencies in Bhergaon subdivision would be conducted separately at Bhergaon under the supervision of SDO (civil) cum Returning Officer Bhergaon, while election in the other five segments in Udalguri subdivision would be conducted under the supervision of the DC.
